Ihram and Miqat on Your Flight from Lahore

Flights from Lahore to Jeddah cross the Miqat before landing, and Jeddah airport is inside it, so pilgrims going straight to Makkah must be in Ihram before the plane passes that point. Most men change into their Ihram sheets at home or at Allama Iqbal International Airport before boarding, since there is little space to change on the plane. Wearing the sheets is not yet Ihram: the restrictions begin only when you make your niyyah, which you do on board when the crew announces that the plane is nearing the Miqat, then begin the Talbiyah. Women travel in their normal modest clothing and make the same niyyah at the same point.

Flying to Madinah first?
