General Instructions

  • Visa Form: Obtain the visa form free of cost at the Mission or from the website. Photocopies are acceptable.\
  • Application Acceptance: Submit applications from 9 AM to 12 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Passport Collection: Visas/Passports can be collected between 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
  • In-Person Submission: Applicants must present themselves at the counter to submit the form.
  • Properly Filled Form: Fill in all columns accurately and legibly using capital letters. Incomplete or unreadable forms will not be accepted.
  • Previous Passports: Submit original previous passports, if applicable.
  • Photographs: Affix two recent color photographs with a white background (passport size: 4.5 x 3.5 cms).
  • Passport Photo Verification: The photo on the passport must match the applicant's current appearance.
  •  Specific Purpose: Obtain the appropriate visa for the intended purpose, such as visit, business, family, study, employment, or conference. Changing the purpose of the visit is not allowed.
  • Truthful Information: Providing false or forged documents is disqualifying. Violation of visa rules or overstaying a visa leads to disqualification.
  • Previous Visa Denials: Accurately disclose any past instances of visa denial.
  • Flight Itinerary: Applicants must have flight itinerary/reservations.

Required Documents

  • Invitation letter from relatives/friends/Pakistani resident, including their ID card copy and visa request letter.
  •  Applicant's own request letter, along with passport photocopy and National Identity Card.
  •  Spouse of a Pakistani national must enclose copies of their spouse's ID card, passport, and a duly attested Marriage Certificate. The original Marriage Certificate may need to be shown for verification.

Sri Lanka Tourist Visa

 Purpose: Strictly for tourism only; not convertible to other visa types.
Note: Misuse of the tourist visa may result in deportation by Pakistani authorities.

Required Documents

  • Company/firm registration certificate, applicant's position in the company/firm, and invitation letter(s) from Pakistani companies.
  • Invitation letter from a company in Pakistan.
  • Request letter from the applicant's base company.
  • Three months' company bank statement.
  • Photocopies of applicant's passport and ID card.
  • For first-time business visa applicants, provide a recommendation letter from a local Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sri Lanka or Pakistan Business Council or Chamber of Commerce.
  • Top executives of well-established/reputed firms/banks/financial institutions should submit their forms through authorized company officials, along with individual authorization letters, not through travel agents.

Sri Lanka Business Visa on Arrival

  • Short-term business visits for Sri Lankan businessmen.
  • Validity: Visa on arrival for 30 days.
  • Required Documents:
  • Recommendation letter from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the respective country.
  • Invitation letter from a Pakistani business organization recommended by the relevant Trade Organization/Association.
  • Recommendation letter from the Honorary Investment Counselor of BOI/Commercial Attache posted at Missions abroad.
