If you want the most for your money, travel in October or November 2026. Hotels near the Haram cost much less than in winter or Ramadan; the crowds are lighter, and the Makkah heat eases as November begins. It's a good time to choose a hotel closer to the Haram for the same budget.
Winter Umrah: December to Early February
This is the most comfortable weather of the year in Makkah and Madinah, and it covers the sacred month of Rajab and the lead-up to Ramadan in Shaban. It's also when many Karachi families travel during the late-December school holidays, so prices rise, and seats fill quickly. Book at least 6–8 weeks ahead.
Ramadan Umrah Packages from Karachi 2027
Umrah in Ramadan carries a special reward: the Prophet ﷺ said it equals Hajj in reward (Sahih al-Bukhari 1782, Sahih Muslim 1256). Scholars explain that this refers to the reward, and it doesn't replace the obligatory Hajj. Ramadan 2027 is expected from around 8 February to 8 March. Since Karachi has direct flights to both Jeddah and Madinah, you can also start in Madinah and move to Makkah for the last ten nights, the busiest and most sought-after part of the month.
